2009 LINCOLN CENT PRODUCTS NOW AVAILABLE!
The Lincoln Cent is the longest running series in the history of American coinage. First issued in 1909 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, the coin has seen many changes over the decades. To honor the 200TH ANNIVERSARY of Lincoln's birth, Congress passed a law in 2007 authorizing four new reverse designs to be issued quarterly in 2009. The four themes are Lincon's birth and early childhood, his formative years, his professional life and his presidency.

Whitman has produced several new products in preparation for the new commemorative Lincoln cents.

Whitman Folder for 2009 Commemorative Lincoln Cents

Special commemorative folder with openings to collect one of each major design type of Lincoln cent from 1909 to date including the new 2009 commemorative coins plus a special new 'Union' cent reverse design authorized for release in 2010. Folder has openings for 1909 VDB and no-VDB issues; 4 openings for wheat back issue (one coin for each mint plus obverse); complete set of 1943 steel cents; two openings for 1944-46 shellcase cents; 5 openings for 1959-1962 bronze Memorial cents; 5 openings for 1962-1982 brass Memorial cents and 5 openings for zinc cents from 1982-2008 in addition to the 2009 and 2010 coins.
